Ex Deputy CM still powerful, continues to enjoy niceties of power ….! 6/10/2015 12:43:51 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, June 9: It is tale that reflects paradoxical situation with respect to two Deputy Chief Ministers from Jammu. While the existing one Dr Nirmal Singh of BJP is craving for command and clout besides wielding influence in the administrative set up of the state, his predecessor Tara Chand despite being out of ruling regime still enjoys all niceties of power. The roads leading to posh Roop Nagar area today witnessed a gala occasion today which can sum up the account of this irony. It was the Birthday bash of the kin (probably his son's ) of Tara Chand that saw men from administration as well as Traffic Police stand up with rapt attention and in saluting mode with full attendance around the area. All the traffic cops otherwise inactive were seen in energetic mode all along the locality particularly the one leading to the residence of former Deputy Chief Minister who has lately shifted to this colony. Despite it being a scorching day, poor cops were seen quite active attending their beats in full strength under the blazing Sun. Not only traffic cops, even their boss, SP was learnt to have monitored personally the gala arrangements for the function. That former Deputy Chief Minister still enjoys the privileges of power could be seen from the fact that government officials from other Departments, probably which were under his command during NC-Congress coalition rule were also seen actively buzzing around the residence of their former political boss. The officials were seen as if attending the important tasks, no matter it was purely a private function.
