DODA, June 9: With the aim to check the punctuality of employees in Government institutions and take stock of the availability of essential services to the people in the rural areas, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda conducted surprise visit at CA&PD Store Ghat, PHC Ghat, Government Higher secondary school (GHSS) Ghat, Middle school Gundana, GHSS Gundana, PHC Gundana and Tehsil headquarter Gundana.
DDC Bhupinder Kumar's extensive tour started with a surprise inspection at PDD Workshop Doda where he reviewed the status of repair of various transformers and directed AEE PDD to expedite the repair works.
DDC then visited the CA&PD food store at Ghat were he inspected the quality of essential commodities being supplied to the people. Kumar was also briefed by AD, CA&PD Doda Mohammad Sayeed about the stock position of the commodities in the store.
DDC conducted surprise inspections at Government Higher Secondary School Ghat, Middle School Gundana, GHSS Gundana and checked the attendance of teachers. Staff position in the Schools, accommodation position, toilet and drinking water facilities, of books and uniform available to the students, damaged school buildings were also reviewed and necessary instruction were gives to the concerned officers to mitigate them. DDC interacted with the students and appealed them to understand the concepts of a subject rather than mugging up the facts.
DDC also interacted with the patients at PHC Ghat and enquired about the facilities being provided to them. DC directed BMO Ghat to provide better facilities to the patients besides minimize the referral system so the burden at the District Hospital is reduced. |
