Alleged 'molestation of school girl' sparks massive protest in Manwal 6/10/2015 12:32:03 AM Early Times Report Udhampur, June 9: Massive protest demonstrations disrupted normal life in Manwal today following alleged molestation of a school girl studying at Govt Higher Secondary School Kathar by a teacher. Sources said people took to streets at Manwal blocking Dhar road for more than two hours after the news about the molestation reached to town amid anti education department and police slogans while demanding stern action against the accused. The protestors were demanding the accused be terminated from services and shall be arrested immediately. They also demanded that accused should be given a stern punishment so that such act shall not be repeated lesson by others. Sources said that Protesters alleged that accused (a teacher) was allegedly trying to force the girl for developing physical relation with him for some time after which student reported matter to School principal who surprisingly did not take any disciplinary action against teacher which further has encouraged the teacher. Finding no way the girl narrated entire incident to her parents who later lodge FIR against the accused school teacher. Meanwhile police and senior civil administration officers civil rushed to the spot and pacified the protestors peacefully and also informed that the accused Vinay Sharma of Bhutyari has already been arrested and booked under section 354-A and 354-B RPC for alleged molestation case.
