Early Times Report Jammu, June 9: Jugal Kishore Sharma, member parliament (L.S) today, visited Rajiv Gandhi sports museum, Karan Nagar Extn Jammu. He was spellbound by the vast collection of Dr Ashutosh Sharma since 1969 when he held various important posts in the central govt. Indian Olympic association, National sports federations and State sports Association. The collection included photographs of dignitaries from all over the world, country and state, lapel pins of all the countries mementos, trophies, medals of all the functions organised by Prof. Sharma, in and outside the country and also in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Jugal Kishore Sharma spent about one hour with the sports personalities of Jammu and Kashmir and after having a glimpse of sports collections exhibited in the museum, he highly appreciated the efforts of prof. Sharma for promoting sports in the state and the country. He promised to render all help and cooperation to shift the museum to some suitable place to enable the general public and sportsmen, especially younger generation to visit the museum which will certainly serve as an incentive for them. The members who were present included, Kiran wattel, Vijay Saraf, Sarwant Singh Gill, Hardeep Singh Gill, Dr Nirmolak Singh, Rajan Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Vikas gupta, Raj Kumar, Ravi salgotra, Subash Sharma, Tarsem lal, Rajesh kumar, Ajay Sharma, Jagpreet Singh, Ankush and others. |
