Govt Primary School Plassan runs in a rented room | | | Arun Dev Jasrotia

Ramnagar/Udhampur, Dec 13: Despite having resources, many a government school in Udhampur district runs from a rented building thereby affecting the educational system. The government has both land and funds for raising parks and gardens, and construction of community halls etc . But when it comes to construction of school buildings, it has neither land nor funds. This speaks volumes of government's priority for education sector. Due to the lack of accommodation students worst suffers .Five classes running in one room at one time shows the inefficiency of the Education department to provide the better education to the students. Its need to be mentioned here that in the year 2011-12 the Building of Primary school Plassan was constructed but in the year 2013 the said school building fully damaged due to unknown reason . After that the said school shifted to one small (10*10 size) Rental room . The school has five classes which are being held in this congested room," a teacher said, adding that all stationery and other material were also placed in the room. Moreover no toilet and Drinking water facilities in said school. due to the non availability of the Toilet facilities the Girl students and female teacher worst suffers. Teachers as well as faces lots of Problems and the Teacher agreed that the a we didn't give better education to the students in One room we need separate class room for the students of different classes. It seems that the future of the said school students are in Dark due to the lack of facilities in said school. Teachers alleged that many time they approach to the Higher official of the department but till date nothing has been done by the authorities. Students as well as the teachers demanded New school building for Primary school Plassan.
