Ramban, Dec 13: In order to apprehend criminals, who are absconding after jumping bail, district Police Ramban constituted a special team which raided at different locations and apprehended three absconders who were evading their arrests. "A special team from Police Station Chanderkot developed an input regarding the presence of some absconders at valley and raided at their residence, police sources said. They said, "During these raids, they escaped and moved towards Jammu. As such, nakas were established on NHW-44 in district Ramban." "During checking of the vehicles at Chanderkot, a truck bearing registration no JK22A-0061 was signaled to stop for checking and police arrested three accused identified namely as Raees Ahmed son of Gulam Nabi, Zakir, Ahmed Lone @ Nikka son of Mohd Afzal Lone and Fayaz Ahmed @ Nikka Kabootar son of Gul Mohd Ganai, all resident of Sangas, Kulgam, police sources said. "The accused have taken lift from the truck and were trying to move towards Jammu," sources added Police sources said, "The trio was involved in case FIR No. 14/2011, u/s 379/34 RPC and were evading their arrest since long.The absconders were produced in the court of JMIC Batote, from where they were further sent to judicial lock up. The arrest has been made by the police party headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Chanderkote Daljeet Singh, under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mushtaq Choudhary and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Randeep Kumar. |
