Shabir goes berserk, says J&K not Indian
Rajnath rattles separatists

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Dec 13: HM Rajnath Singh's Sunday Kathua speech has rattled Kashmiri separatists. It has rattled Hurriyat leaders to the extent that the so-called Nelson Mandela of Kashmir, Shabir Ahmad Shah, has gone berserk. Countering the statement of Rajnath Singh, he has shamelessly said that Rajnath Singh was "wrong" when he said at Kathua that Jammu & Kashmir was an integral part of India and India was "incomplete" without Jammu & Kashmir.
Ii is hardly necessary to consider this spurious argument of Shabir Shah. And, it is also not necessary to say again and again that Jammu & Kashmir was, is and shall ever remain an integral part of India. For, to say so would mean that there is still some confusion over the political status of Jammu & Kashmir vis-à-vis India. Of course, it would be only desirable and necessary to always call PoJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, which have been under the illegal occupation of Pakistan since 1947, as integral parts of India, which must be retrieved at any cost. Such an approach punctures the Pakistani balloon, the Kashmiri separatists' balloon and also helps India change the opinion of the international community.
Shabir not only fooled himself by questioning the political status of Jammu & Kashmir, but also told New Delhi that if India was to become a world power, it must settle the Kashmir issue. In other words, he linked the advancement of India at world level to the so-called Kashmir issue.
That Shabir Shah asked India to resolve the Kashmir issue or handover Jammu & Kashmir to Pakistan and its agents in Kashmir on a platter to become a power in the comity of world nations only suggests his political and intellectual bankruptcy.
Home minister Rajnath Singh's Sunday speech was what it should be like to show the rightful place both to Pakistan and Kashmiri separatists and he did it in a most fitting manner. In fact, his speech had thrilled not only the people of Jammu & Kashmir, barring terrorists, but the whole of the nation.
