Jammu, Dec 13: Even when Cabinet ministers are trying to stay away from controversies, their henchmen are creating troubles for them. In one such instance an SHO reportedly deployed by one of the Cabinet ministers has raked controversy after challenging a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
According to sources, an SHO in one of the police stations of Jammu district has reportedly kept the aggrieved female complainant in dark by assuring that her complaint has been registered.
"The complainant has been repeatedly visiting the concerned police station with a complaint, but the concerned head of the station is keeping the complainant in dark saying that the complaint has been registered," said sources, adding that today when the complainant came to know that her complaint has not been registered so far, she approached the SHO for the reasons.
"The complainant asserted that if SHO is not registering her complaint, she will approach SSP Jammu with the complaint," said sources, adding this fumed the SHO, who befittingly challenged the complainant, saying, "SSP cannot harm me in any way as I am backed by a Cabinet minister."
Later, the complainant reportedly approached the SSP with complaint against SHO.
"The complainant narrated the entire story to the SSP, who ensured fair inquiry and substantial action," said sources. |
