Government announces mourning for 7 days | | | Jehangir Rashid

SRINAGAR, Jan 7: Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed passed away today in the morning at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. Sayeed was admitted at AIIMS on December 24 last year and for the past 14 days he was battling for his life.
Reports from New Delhi said that the end came early in the morning but it was only at about 7:15 AM that it was officially confirmed by the AIIMS authorities. Most of the members of Mufti Sayeed family were by the side of the Chief Minister at the time of his demise. Mufti Sayeed is survived by his wife Gulshan Ara, one son and three daughters.

SRINAGAR, Jan 7: Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed's death remained a day of reunion for Muzaffar Husain Beigh and Tariq Hameed Karra, two "rebel" MPs from the PDP, with others in the party.
Source said both Beigh and Karra rushed to Mufti's Fairview residence as soon as the news broke about Mufti's demise. Beigh addressed media from time to time during the day whereas Karra maintained a low profile.

Jammu, Jan 7: The Jammu & Kashmir State Vigilance Commission (SVC) which was constituted few years back by the Government has only issued eight orders / circulars since 2013 reveals the official website of this commission (jksvc.gov.in). In addition to it the judgments passed by the SVC are also not uploaded on the SVC's website which is again a clear violation of section 4 (1) (b) of J&K RTI Act 2009 wherein proactive disclosure by public authorities is essential for every public authority.

Rakesh Sharma, a casual worker of PDD Jammu Division-I criticizesd Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, for his failure to meet the demands of poor employees, in spite of several representations.
