3/13/2016 12:32:51 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 12: Resentment is brewing in the police department as policemen, who neither have money nor political power, are allegedly looked down upon and ignored by the senior officers. Cops, without any backing, being treated shabbily has pushed them to wall and they are waiting for a chance to rebel, sources told Early Times. According to policemen, there is no transfer policy as result of which PHQ, ZPHQ and RPHQs have been following appeasement policy and those who have influence get even pre-mature transfers to their home districts or choice postings where as deserving feel dumped and forgotten. There are series of examples of such influential officials and officers who have maximum tenure in Jammu or in home districts in between 5-15 years. It clearly indicates that influential cops having political backing and money power play a vital role in police service. It also shows that there is no transfer policy for majority of policemen. There is no promotion policy for state policemen. They never get timely promotions where as RR in Gazetted rank have ...
