Jammu, July 2: The state government's decision to dismiss 63 tainted employees from service has raised eyebrows, as it appears that the drive against the corrupt is selective.
It's argued that if the government was sincere in its intentions, it would have not delayed action against the 18 police officials, including a Superintendent of Police, against whom FIRs stand registered by Vigilance Organization in last five years.
Recently, in response to an RTI application the Vigilance Jammu revealed the names of the 18 officials.
According to the Vigilance, nine FIRs were registered against police officers from January 2010 to December 2014 in Jammu division.
