Srinagar, Sept 7: The cold war between senior Peoples Democratic Party leaders Muzaffar Hussain Beig, known for his integrity in the state politics, and Nayeem Akhter has deepened with the former having spilled the beans at a public event here yesterday by repeatedly terming some of his colleagues as "Chamchas who can't cow him down".
While addressing a government function organized by New light Education and Environmental Service Foundation- New light Education and Environmental Society (NEESF-NEES) at SKICC on Saturday, Beig who is a Member Parliament and had done appreciable work during his tenure as finance minister in the state, for the first time, in full public gaze, expressed his resentment towards some of the party leaders. He is a good orator and used to convince the opposition with his reasonable arguments in the state assembly. In the assembly, he handled all the important issues on behalf of PDP, giving his party an edge over others.
