Srinagar, Nov 21: Veteran PDP leader and Member Parliament, Tariq Hameed Karra might have supported his loyalists particularly, the two MLAs, his sister-in-law AsiyaNaqash and Noor Muhammad from time-to-time, but as of now, the duo seem all set to confront their godfather, who is believed to have introduced them to politics.
In a major setback to Karra, who is all fire against the PDP-BJP alliance, he has started losing support of his loyalists, who have suddenly reposed faith in other PDP leaders.

JAMMU, Nov 21: Despite lapse of five years Jammu and Kashmir Government has failed to complete the three projects, sanctioned under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY).
Official sources informed Early Times that in the year 2011-12, Government of India (GoI) has sanctioned 3 projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 115 lakhs.
"Even the executing agency Sericulture department has adequate funding but the department has utilized only Rs. 31 Lakhs till date which is the one forth part of the funds" sources added.

SRINAGAR, Nov 21: The State of Jammu Kashmir is ahead of Odhisa and Bihar as far as sanitation is concerned. A national survey on drinking water and sanitation reflects that half of the population of the State has no access to toilets and wash rooms.
According to the survey, of the twenty lakh households in the State, only ten lakh have toilets and washrooms.
The problem is grave in rural areas where people defecate in open.
The situation in urban areas is a litter better. Of 5.17 lac households, only 4.52 lac households have latrines within premises. Rest go to public latrines.

JAMMU, Nov 21: Health Minister these days busy with surprise visits of hospitals across Jammu division, but in his hometown Kathua, the health institutions are facing acute shortage of manpower.
In January this year, a public health centre (PHC)at village Govindsar under National Urban Health mission was thrown open for public, but since its establishment, the PHC Govindsar is facing acute dearth of manpower. Only one technician, a pharmacist, a staff nurse and four Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMHWs) are running the PHC, sources told Early Times.
