Jammu, June 4: Instead of booking an eve-teaser, who was alleged to have molested a girl, the SHO of a peripheral police station allegedly directed the victim's brother to patch up with the accused.
For the patch, the SHO was allegedly paid a bribe of Rs 2,000 by the accused, police sources said.
Sources said a youth yesterday lodged a written complaint at the police station, alleging therein that a youth had 'molested' his sister. He alleged that the accused was also harassing his sister on telephone.

JAMMU, June 4: Jammu has the highest fatalities in road accidents as compared to other districts of the state where killer roads have been claiming average three lives a day.
Jammu also tops the list of traffic violations, according to official sources.
917 people were killed in different road accidents across the state in 2015. Of them, 129 lost their lives in Jammu, followed by 108 in Udhampur, 85 in Samba, 84 in Kathua and 63 in Srinagar.
