Srinagar, Sept 8: Unhappy with the Government's decision of appointing B R Sharma as Jammu and Kashmir New Chief Secretary, Senior IAS officer and FC Industries Khurshid Ahmad Ganie Monday applied for leave till his retirement, falling on October 31, 2015.
Well informed sources told Early Times that Khurshid Ganai has expressed his anger about the government's decision of appointing B.R Sharma as Chief Secretary."He submitted his leave application on Monday and did not attend his office," one of the government official said.
When contacted FC Industries Khurshid Ahmad Ganai admitted that he has sent his leave to the GAD. "Yes I have forwarded my leave to the GAD and I am availing the leave,"
He claimed that he is not angry with the government's decision over the appointment of B.R Sharma as Chief Secretary. "I am not unhappy at all. It is the government's decision. But yes since I am in the secretariat I cannot work under a junior. It is not done. A senior works nowhere under his Junior," Gani said.

It has been learnt that four candidates applied for the above mentioned post but only one turned up for interview held on September 7.
It was further learnt that a candidate who turned around 12 a.m was not allowed by the selection committee which alleged that the interview was conducted without issuing proper notification.
