Rise in militant attacks: Central agencies ask JK to make extra security arrangements

Ishtiyaq Ahmad Early Times Report Srinagar, July 4: In the wake of series of militant attacks on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, Central Intelligence agencies have asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to make extra security arrangements in the valley and also cautioned security forces and police to be more vigilant. Highly placed sources told Early Times on Monday that a precautionary advice forwarded to the Jammu and Kashmir government from different intelligence agencies has held that militants and other disruptive groups/elements have general tendency of causing disturbance during the tourist season in the valley. "It is necessary for security agencies to be prepared to thwart any such attempts. The state authorities are advised to ensure tight security by properly deploying the security forces in the city and other districts," the sources quoted Central agencies advise said.
