Two of his commitments were very appealing. One was his commitment that the BJP, if voted to power at the Centre, will encourage a debate on Article 370 to know if it had harmed the people and the State or benefited both of them and that steps will be taken to abrogate this Article if it was found that it had harmed the people of the State. AS Centre celebrates Constitution Day with reinforced vigour BJP State unit gives a miss even to routine celebrations
11/27/2015 12:11:47 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 26: State unit of BJP gave a miss to the Constitution Day celebrations today, deviating completely from the line and policy which the Union government adopted this year. In power as the party is with PDP in the state, this deviance came to be seen more as aberration in arrogance as the party would celebrate the day every year, no matter in a small way but conveniently forgot to pay even tributes as a respectful gesture. In what could be seen as a bold yet belated move, the Union government decided to celebrate November 26 this year as the Constitution Day as a part of year long celebrations of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar, the architect of In...
