Srinagar, July 13: The government directions to its employees to attend their workplaces failed to generate positive response since most of the offices in valley remained locked on Wednesday.
Sources said that in Srinagar district most of the government offices remained locked. "Though some offices opened early in the morning but the employees could not attend their offices due to restrictions imposed by the authorities," said a senior government official.
The situation in other districts of the Kashmir valley, where shutdowns and protests had been continuing for the past four days, remained similar.

Srinagar, July 13: The prevailing unrest in Kashmir valley has forced around five hundred families to cancel their scheduled marriage ceremonies and lavish parties.
