Home Ministry to get 'audit' of madrasas in Valley

Early Times Report Jammu, July 13: The Home Ministry has decided to conduct 'audit' of the madrasas in the Valley. The Ministry will ask all the intelligence agencies and state government to prepare a report on their activities and send it within a month to the Ministry. "The violent unrest in the valley is also the result of the virulent and hardline teaching being preached in the thousands of the madrasas that have come up in the valley. They are being financed by the petro-dollor and are changing the narrative of the Kashmir to salafism and wahabsim. It has fueled the extreme anti-India feelings in the Kashmir and it's a dangerous trend," said a senior official. The home ministry has also received inputs that the preachers at the Madarasas are also being 'directed' by separatists and their handlers across the border to infuse wahabism in the valley.
