PSC selects alleged rape accused, `cheat' as lecturer Surgery | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 22: Terminated from service by Government, a former probationer surgeon Dr Javid Iqbal has been selected as lecturer surgery by the Public Service Commission (PSC).
According to notification number 16-PSC (DR-S) of 2015, dated October 20, 2015, Javid Iqbal has been selected as lecturer.
Positioned number one in the selection list of lecturer Surgery, GMC Jammu, Health and Medical Education Department, the doctor was terminated from his service in September 2013.
Dr Javid Iqbal, had cheated a Sikh girl Gurpreet, who later converted to Islam (Smaira) and married him, but later she filed cases against Dr Javid.
Health and Medical Education department had issued order of termination of probation and discharge from services of Dr. Javid Iqbal, Consultant Surgeon (under probation) under Government order number 500 HME of 2013.
Dr Iqbal was appointed as consultant surgeon (under Probation) vide Government order number 290-HME of 2011 on June 7, 2011.

Srinagar, Oct 22: Since the onset of militancy in Kashmir in 1989, the Government of India (GoI) has reimbursed more than Rs 7,000 crore to J&K Government to fight the insurgency.
A document released by the Union Home Ministry reveals that apart from the expenditure incurred upon the deployment of army and paramilitary troops in Kashmir, the J&K Government has received Rs 7207 crore.
During the current financial year, a sum of Rs 447 crore has been reimbursed by the Centre to the State to fight insurgency.
The document reads that in view of the militancy, the Government of J&K has to incur more expenditure to maintain 'peace and tranquility'.

Srinagar, Oct 22: The State Government has leased out prized huts at the Pahalgam Golf Course to an influential business family, drawing flak from the people associated with tourism industry.
Over dozen high-end huts have been leased out to the family for mere Rs 2.5 crore by the Pahalgam Development Authority (PDA).
