Mufti 'rejects' BJP’s demand of declaring Oct 26 as holiday 12/21/2015 11:26:13 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 21: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has rejected the demand of the BJP to declare October 26, the day Maharaja singed the Instrument of Accession with India as a State holiday. According to sources, Mufti has told the BJP leadership that any attempt which can create regional or religious problem should be avoided. He also told the BJP leadership that a section in Kashmir Valley has strong reservations against the rule of Dogras and also more for signing the Accession. "The CM told the BJP that any attempt which could pose problem in Kashmir should be avoided. He had also told them since Modi Government has started dialogue process with Pakistan, so creative and conducive environment should be made rather than creating more troubles, which could undermine the sincere efforts of the Modi Government on this front," said a senior Minister.
