| | BJP betrays nation, says Art 35-A can't be declared null and void | A mandate that is hurting India | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 5: The Indian electorate voted the BJP to power in May 2014 hoping that it would undo the past wrongs committed by the parties like the Congress and bridge the gulf they created between J&K and New Delhi. The people of Jammu also gave a massive mandate to the BJP in the 2014 assembly elections - 25 seats out of 37. They voted the BJP for the same reason. Early Times Report
srinagar, Dec 5: The upcoming visit of Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj to Pakistan next week is all set to put the coalition partners in the State at opposite ends to each other.
While the visit is being viewed as 'success' by one partner the same is considered as a 'defeat' to the other.
While Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would see the visit of Minister for External Affairs as a win of its policy for better relations with Pakistan, Bharatiya Janta Party would consider the visit as a 'setback' to its policy vis-a-vis Pakistan. In other words the visit of Sushma Swaraj is considered as a win for PDP and loss to BJP.

Jammu, Dec 5: The distance between Civil Secretariat and the BJP office in Jammu is hardly 500 mts but the latter has become farthest point for the party Ministers after assuming their chairs in the corridors of power. This is not for any personal level appointments but an arrangement devised by the BJP leadership lately to build a 'meaningful' rapport with the workers, which the Ministers have failed.
Sources said in order to pacify the anger and resentment of workers and cadres against th... | |

Jammu, Dec 5: It is a case of counting chickens before they are hatched for Pakistan which has been making consistent and persistent pleas during the last over one year to India for reopening the channels of dialogue.
Anything that is peculiar about these pleas is Pakistan's silence on whether Kashmiri separatists be involved in the proposed parleys or kept away from the bilateral talks. It has done so to encourage India to reopen the doors for dialogue as Islamabad knows that telling New Delhi to involve separatists in talks could prove a red rag to the bull.
