JAMMU, July 16: The government has seized powers of Dr Mohan Singh, superintendent of Indira Gandhi government dental college and hospital here, with immediate effect.
An order to this effect was issued by Dr R K Jerath, principal secretary, health and medical education department.
The order, which bears No 371 HME of 2010, said the drawing and disbursing powers of the superintendent had been withdrawn.

JAMMU, July 16: Forty eight hours after killing Lashkar-e-Taiba's (LeT's) district commander Ishaq Bhat in Kishtwar forests, police and army jawans today captured his deputy, besides busting the outfit's administrative base in the area.
Troops were on the look out for Ishaq's associates who had escaped from the encounter site after his killing two days back in Kishtwar forests. JAMMU, July 16: On 4th day of the gunbattle between security forces and militants in Chhajla forests of Mendhar, Poonch, a Major and two jawans of 37 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) were late last night wounded.
The encounter had started Tuesday last in Mendhar's Beri Rakh forests when militants had ambushed a search party of 37 RR, killing Maj Amit Thenge and wounding six others, including Col Ajay Katoch.
After two days of the gunfight, one militant was killed by security forces in Beri Rakh forests in the wee hours of Thursday while the others had broken troops' cordon and taken positions in Chhajla woods, about 1.5 km ahead of Beri Rakh.
