Jammu, Mar 15: The State Vigilance Organization (SVO) is contemplating to book an Inspector General of Police (IGP) for allegedly encroaching nearly nine kanals of land belonging to Irrigation and Flood Control Department.
According to documents in possession of Early Times, the Vigilance Organization has sought information of the khasra number of the land measuring nearly nine kanals encroached allegedly by the IGP level officer.
The letter forwarded by SP Vigilance to Tehsildar Jammu West reads: "In connection with the probe in the verification number 07/2015 P/S VOJ, you are requested to furnish the khasra number of under construction house of IGP and his brother, along with Aks Shajra/Map of Nandni village pointing the location of mentioned house and its adjoining area along with the list of total beneficiaries (by name) area acquired/year of occupation, who have encroached in Nikki Tawi area of village Nandini/ Karnail Chak/Chak Lalu Shah in which settlement works was done recently".
