Srinagar, June 2: The BJP-PDP government has resolved not to rake up the issue of township for migrant Pandits for now following threat of agitation from the separatists.
Top sources revealed to Early Times that the BJP's senior leaders and the ministers in the present cabinet have been asked not to rake up any such issue that could endanger the government in the state and give free hand to the separatists to instigate people.
If sources are to be believed, the plans for the Sainik Colony and more importantly providing accommodations to the migrant Kashmiri Pandits in Valley, have been shelved by the government, for it is apprehensive of any 2008 like agitation in which the PDP- Congress coalition broke down, compelling then chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to resign from his post.
