PDP again shows BJP its worth, drops resolution on China | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 14: What happened in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council on Monday was both disappointing and unique. Disappointing because the Chairman of the Legislative Council Anayat Ali (PDP MLC) deleted BJP's resolution on the Chinese presence in Gilgit-Baltistan and unique because the NC and the Congress MLCs opposed the Chairman's decision. The BJP and opposition members created a ruckus in the Legislative Council over the deletion of a resolution condemning the presence of the Chinese army in the Gilgit-Baltistan region, which, like POJK, is legitimately Indian.
The BJP's private member resolution read: "This august House strongly condemns the presence of the Chinese army in Gilgit-Baltistan area which are part of our territory and recommends to the Government of India to take up the matter at the appropriate level".

SRINAGAR, June 14: Blame it on the inadequacy of legislation, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed mushrooming growth of private hospitals, which are being operated mostly by the government medicos, who remain absent from duties.
