BJP ministers entertain power brokers; forget martyrs, their families | Fail to get cabinet order implemented | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 7: Exactly 21 days have passed when state cabinet decided to grant ex-gratia to the Next of Kin (NoK) of the Army and paramilitary forces personnel of J&K, who attain martyrdom in or outside the state, but nothing has been done on the ground to get the order implemented as BJP ministers are busy entertaining power brokers.
Neither ex-gratia nor process to give compensatory jobs has been initiated to the NoKs of the martyrs' till date.
The decision is by and large beneficial for the families of martyrs of Jammu but the representatives of the Jammu region in the Cabinet have failed expedite the process. Instead of expediting the process to get ex-gratia released for the martyrs families of Uri terror attack, Jammu's representatives in the government appear to the more concerned about preparing transfer lists of the their respective departments.
