Javaid Naikoo Early Times Report Srinagar, Aug 12: Appointment of the former Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab PS Gill seems to have hit a road block as the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday hinted that party is not interested in Gill taking over the top post in Jammu and Kashmir. The party said its patron and Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, would consider all aspects before giving his final nod. The PDP's chief spokesman Mehboob Beg said that the Centre would appoint a Governor "but everything will be scrutinized by the Chief Minister before allowing anybody to hold the chair of the next Governor." Beg, while referring to close association of Gill with National Conference (NC) patron and former Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah, and his track record while working at different posts in J&K, said that he does not think Mufti would give his nod to Gill's appointment.
