Jammu, Jan 21: In yet another instance of "corrupt officials" enjoying political patronage during ousted Omar Abdullah regime, Incharge Director Family Welfare Jammu, managed to change his date of birth and his seniority without anybody taking note of it.
According to the tentative seniority list of Assistant Surgeons of Health department issued under government order number 556-HME of 2011, dated 17/10/2011, the incumbent Incharge Director Family Welfare, Dr Baldev Raj Sharma stood at serial number 23 and his Date of Birth (DOB) was shown as 15-12-1955.
Interestingly, in another seniority list of Medical Officers of Health and Family Welfare, issued under government order number 295, dated 11/5/2014, Dr Sharma stood at number 1, and his Date of Birth (DOB) was shown as 17/3/1957, a difference of more than one year.
Dr Sharma by tampering with his Date of Birth ensured that he remains in service for two more years and his retirement is deferred.

Since Congress has 12 seats in the Assembly it has no chance for winning even a single seat out of four for which the election was to be held shortly.
