Government succumbs to separatists, modifies Industrial Policy-2016 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 21: After abandoning pro-Jammu agenda for enjoying power, the "nationalist" BJP has once again meekly surrendered before its coalition partner by allowing modification in the existing industrial policy.
The present government was following the same industrial policy but separatists and other groups have raised objection over allowing non-state subject in establishing industrial estates and IT parks in the State. PDP leadership, as usual, started echoing sentiments of separatists.
BJP was opposing any modification in the existing policy but today government issues new order to modify the Industrial Policy 2016.
The Government today ordered modification of Industrial Policy-2016 with the deletion of controversial para 2.11.2 from the said policy.
