In private, both of them are holding each other responsible for the un-necessary controversy and consequent events, which were unprecedented in the history of Jammu University as well as the ABVP. Even as DyCM was neither invited for the event nor he was among the organizers, sources said that the Vice-Chancellor RD Sharma has the impression that ABVP activists were instigated by Dr Nirmal Singh to create trouble on the campus by insisting for holding the Student Leaders Conference in Jammu University only. However, on the other hand, Dr Nirmal Singh has also come to know from some reliable sources that the Vice-Chancellor Prof RD Sharma refused to grant permission to ABVP for holding the event, particularly to send a message to the Dy CM that being head of an autonomous institution, he could not be cowed down.
